ABOUT US

The Ebenezer, Toronto Gore Historical Foundation was set up with the goals of preserving the building at Ebenezer and documenting and preserving the

history of Toronto Gore.

This is the second place of worship to have been built on this site. The original structure was made of mud bricks and straw.  The current Ebenezer Chapel was built by early settlers in 1858.

A PLACE FOR COMMUNITY TODAY
BECOMING A MEMBER

Generous donations from members of the farm community as well as support from the Ontario Trillium Foundation made it possible to preserve this historic structure.

Now, as a community facility, we continue to be self-sustaining. We appreciate the diligent work of volunteers within the organization and the loyalty of the groups that currently regularly rent the chapel.

If you are interested in renting the space, please contact us about availability and cost at oldebenezerchapel@gmail.com

If you would like to become a member of our organization or share some information about the history of the area, please leave us a message at
